Night at the Ballpark

I forgot to mention that part of the birthday weekend included a trip down to Arlington to catch a Rangers game. Saturday turned out to be a beautiful night for baseball, despite the near-100 temperatures. It was crowded at the ballpark because this was an important AL West Division series, so we didn't get to sit in the outfield bleachers like we like. But we could still see the game very well from what are probably the cheapest of the cheap seats. The Rangers ended up getting beat 6-2, but it was just fun to be at the ballpark. Here are the pictures. By the way, the pictures of Cowboys Stadium is taken from the upper deck of the ballpark. But there's really no way to capture in a picture how gigantic it really is.

  1. I still can't get over the fact that A-Rod went to the Rangers! The dirty rotten no good two timing scoundrel that he is. How can I like the Rangers even if their stadium is lovely? Go Mariners! Mom

  3. Thanks Maegan for the birthday wishes. It was a great day! As you can see they even had fireworks for my birthday. Haha, just kidding, a homerun was hit.

Mom, you'll be happy to know that the Rangers boo A-Rod as well. They did a news clip of him on the big screen and he didn't receive a very warm reception.

Tony didn't mention though that that night they were inducting an old Ranger player into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Nolan Ryan was there and Mark McClemore. Others were there, but those are the two that I knew and thought were cool to see.
